High Desert Community Foundation,
your community foundation, is part of the fastest growing sectors of
philanthropy in the United States today. We
build and strengthen the High Desert and Mountain communities by making it
possible for a wide range of donors to create affiliate funds
to meet critical community needs. Through
philanthropy that is visionary, diverse and inclusive, High Desert Community Foundation
has become a catalyst for improvement within The High Desert / Mountain Region of San Bernardino County. High Desert Community Foundation currently has 23 affiliate funds and has given over $300,000 to the community since its inception. Monies have been donated to various organizations which assist with needs such as:
High Desert Community Foundation
offers donors many services and benefits. We
routinely work with families, individuals, attorneys, estate and financial planners, to design gift plans that fit every economic situation.
This ensures that
donors receive the most benefit from their charitable contributions and that
their philanthropic dollars are used to the fullest extent. Endowments are built through contributions from many donors
in the High Desert/Mountain area. We
accept gifts of various sizes and types from private citizens, local
corporations, other foundations, and government agencies.
Nearly every type of gift--cash, real estate, stock, artwork and
insurance--can be contributed to High Desert Community Foundation. Gifts are made
from living donors and by bequests through various types of funds and deferred
giving vehicles. The funds are
invested in diverse portfolios. Management is a major aspect of High Desert Community Foundation's work. We share
the common goal of serving our donors, nonprofit organizations, and the
community at large. In addition to
this, one of our special functions is to evaluate and help coordinate the needs
and services in our community, so that charitable gifts are used effectively to
