"Bud" Biggs
Vice President, Plant Manager, Mitsubishi Cement Corp.
"Bud" graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in
Chemistry. He has been in
the cement business since 1962, starting with Kaiser Cement at
Permanente, California. He
began his career as an hourly employee and progressed to Junior Process
Engineer, Chief Chemist, and then went to the San Antonio, Texas plant
as Production Superintendent. In
1988, he joined Mitsubishi Cement Corporation as Production Manager, and
since 1989 has been the Plant Manager, a position he currently holds.
"Bud" is President of the
Partnership in Academic Excellence Foundation, and has served on the
board for three out of the six years it has been in existence.
He is a member of the Cement Industry Environmental Consortium, a
non-profit business alliance, and has served as Technical Committee
Chairman, and presently is a Board member.
He brings management and people skills to our foundation.
He is professionally affiliated with the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers, Inc., Cement Division."Bud"
is interested in education and children, fundraising, networking,
community and industry relations. "Bud"
resides in Spring Valley Lake with his wife, Betty, and has a son, Dan.
