Current Funds High Desert Community Foundation currently holds the following funds: Community Impact Fund Greatest Need/Community Impact - Board of Directors determines what charitable agency will receive these funds annually. (Not available at this time) Field of Interest Fund The A.S.A.P. (After School Activities Program) Fund - This fund promotes after school activities at local school sites and has funded 30 A.S.A.P. programs in the High Desert area for the purpose of healthful development of children through positive, educational and recreational experiences. Chamber" DBSA High Desert Chapter (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) - This fund is a peer run support group helping people in the community with mood disorders. We offer educational materials on mood disorders and help with coping skills. Friends of the Adelanto Library - This fund is to help buy books for the Adelanto Library. Nancee Lee VanKirk - Their mission is to provide devices for disabled students. 2nd Chance - To provide a loving, stable environment for infants born in prison and children whose parents are incarcerated in order to maintain family bonding with the parent inside the prison in a hope for family reunification after parent is released. Streams In The Desert Quad Care - Help any high desert family who needs quadriplegic care. The Horned Lizard Research and Conservation Nature Center - The mission of this fund is to build a nature conservation center in the High Desert to educate and enlighten the community about preserving our native land, plants and habitat. "Voice Solutions" The Yucca Loma Family Center - The mission is to teach parents how to be parents and to help the family in many ways. A one-on-one mentoring program has volunteers from the business and professional field. For more information about Yucca Loma Family Center Click here "Yucca Loma" Treasure Trunk For The Needy - A non-profit Christian ministry that utilizes donated, quality used clothing, house wares and toys and distributes them to like-minded organizations that serve the needy through a wide variety of programs and services. The animals come from shelters, caring owners no longer able to care for them, and some were abandoned. Sara’s Song of Life Charitable Fund” - Their mission is to provide scholarships to Serrano High School, provide a “Cinderella’s Closet”, and other charitable activities in the Phelan/Tri-Community Area. Scholarship Fund Florence Lindberg Scholarship Fund - Scholarships for Silverado High School graduating students. Kory Rudow Scholarship Fund - established in memory of Kory. The goal is to provide a student the opportunity to further their education in an accredited college.
