Muir Cramer

High Desert Community Foundation
Maggie attended the University of Redlands.
In 1951 she joined the Apple Valley Building and Development
Company, later known as Apple Valley Ranchos.
In 1979, after 28 years, she retired as Corporate Assistant
Secretary.
Maggie's hobby was fashion design. From 1956 to 1966, she designed and manufactured women's
sportswear and loungewear in Apple Valley, with a sales office in the
California Mart, Los Angeles. Her
fashions were sold through I. Magnin & Co., Sak's 5th
Avenue, and Bullocks plus 125 boutiques and specialty stores throughout
the United States. After
retirement, she owned an antique store, which was auctioned for charity
in 1993.
Maggie has been actively involved in the High
Desert community since her retirement in 1979.
She is a member of Soroptimist International of Victor Valley and
the Assistance League of Victor Valley.
She and her late husband, Walter, were the co-chairmen to raise
the capital fund to build the "Cooper Home".
They raised over $600,000 with the help of many individuals and
associations. As President
of the Cramer Family Foundation, Inc., she has helped promote A.S.A.P.
(After School Activities Program) in Hesperia and Apple Valley, and
expects that all schools within our High Desert will soon adopt the
program.
